This was our first time hiking Little Lougheed. It was a challenging trail given the winter conditions and as a result we fell 200 meters short of the summit.
Devils Thumb is a spectacular hike with amazing 360 views of one of the most majestic places in the world and especially during larch season on a bluebird day.
Barier Lake Lookout trail is a steady but not extreme climb to a couple of different viewpoints that provide panoramic views of Kananaskis Country and from Canmore to Calgary.
Porcupine Ridge is a unique and challenging hike with a creek crossing combined with some scrambles but it has panoramic views once you break out of the trees.
James Walker is a relatively easy hike with some great views of the massive rock walls surrounding the valley and the trail rarely has any people on it.
Rummel Lake is on our regular hike and snowshoe rotation but we had never done it during larch tree season and it did not disappoint along with a first polar dip for Ed and Craig.
