Boom Lake Hike

Where:
• Boom Lake

When:
• October 13, 2018

Trailhead:
• 7 km’s south on Highway 93 from the Trans Canada (#1)/Radium (#93) junction on the west side of the road

Degree of difficulty:
• 625 ft elevation (mostly in the first few km’s)
• 10 km’s total out and back
• three-hour hike moving at a leisurely pace
• wide and well-maintained trail

Interesting notes:
• this is a nice family friendly stroll for folks of all ages
• there are limited views along the trail but the view at the lake is spectacular and a great spot to enjoy lunch and meditate on life
• there are larch trees that were still somewhat yellow even at the middle of October
